Who is Train the Trainer for?
Organisations that need to train many people, consistently, more than once.
- L&D teams scaling a programme across sites, countries or business units
- HR business partners embedding leadership and inclusion in the people strategy
- Global organisations with international or multi-site teams
- Public-sector bodies that need a lower cost per learner
Certified trainers can
- Deliver the programme to the same standard as LIA's Master Trainers
- Adapt case studies to your sector without changing the core model
- Run sessions in person, live online or in a hybrid room
- Handle sensitive topics such as bias, DEI and generational stereotypes
- Measure behaviour change and report it to leadership
Is Train the Trainer cheaper than outsourcing training?
Usually, once a programme needs to reach more than a few groups. Outsourced delivery is paid for every cohort. Certified in-house trainers can run unlimited cohorts for 12 months with no per-learner fees, so your cost per learner falls with every session.
Outsourced delivery
Best for one-off or specialist sessions
- Cost
- A fee for every cohort you run
- Per learner
- Stays the same for every group
- Scheduling
- Fitted around facilitator availability
- Capability
- Leaves when the session ends
Your certified trainers
Best for programmes every manager needs
- Cost
- One investment, unlimited cohorts for 12 months
- Per learner
- Falls with every cohort you run
- Scheduling
- Fitted around your operations and onboarding
- Capability
- Stays inside your organisation

How is the impact measured?
Impact is measured at three levels: trainer capability, delivery quality and learning transfer. Every certification includes pre- and post-session assessments and 90-day learner and line-manager surveys, so L&D can report behaviour change, not just attendance.

Three-level evaluation framework
- Level 1
- Trainer capability: knowledge assessment and an observed, assessed delivery.
- Level 2
- Delivery quality: sessions run as designed, rated by learners after every session.
- Level 3
- Learning transfer: knowledge gain, plus applied behaviour confirmed by learners and line managers at 90 days.
Targets used in LIA enterprise partnerships.

What is a Train the Trainer programme?
A Train the Trainer programme certifies an organisation's own staff to deliver a training course internally. At London Intercultural Academy (LIA), HR, L&D or internal trainers spend three days learning to deliver one LIA programme, are assessed, and are then licensed to run it for unlimited internal learners for 12 months.
How much does Train the Trainer cost in the UK?
There is no fixed price. Every London Intercultural Academy Train the Trainer engagement is tailored, and the cost depends on the number of trainers, the number of programmes, the level of customisation, the delivery location and the support required. LIA sends a tailored proposal after a free 20-minute scoping call.
How is LIA's Train the Trainer different from a generic train the trainer course?
Generic train the trainer courses teach general facilitation skills. LIA's programme certifies your trainer to deliver a specific, ready-made CPD-certified programme, with all materials, a licence to use them and impact measurement included, so they can start running it internally immediately.
Is Train the Trainer cheaper than outsourcing training?
Usually, once a programme needs to reach more than a few groups. Outsourced delivery is paid for every cohort, so the cost per learner stays the same. Once your trainers are certified, they can run unlimited internal cohorts for 12 months with no per-learner fees, so the cost per learner falls with every session.
Is the certification recognised?
Yes. Certification is CPD certified. London Intercultural Academy is CPD Provider 781813 and UKPRN 10093621.
How do we measure the impact of internal training?
Every certification includes pre- and post-session assessments, a session evaluation form, and 90-day learner and line-manager surveys, so L&D teams can report behaviour change to leadership.
Does the trainer need previous experience?
Some experience of running workshops or presenting to groups helps. Facilitation skills are taught during the three days, and anyone who does not pass first time gets extra coaching and a free re-assessment.
Can we certify several trainers on several programmes?
Yes. LIA can certify up to five trainers across several programmes in about 12 weeks, with materials branded for your organisation. Proposals are tailored to each organisation.
Where does the programme take place?
At LIA's training centre at 167-169 Great Portland Street, London. Group programmes can also be delivered at your premises across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, drawing on LIA's network of 40 Master Trainers.
Can certified trainers deliver the programme to clients?
No. The licence covers training your own employees only. LIA keeps ownership of the programme materials; any examples specific to your organisation remain yours.
