Cancellation and Refund Policy

London Intercultural Academy (LIA)

This policy reflects the costs incurred, resource planning, and limited capacity of our programmes. By booking with LIA, you agree to the terms below.

1. Individual Bookings (In-person Programmes)

  • More than 21 days before start: 80% refund (20% retained to cover administrative and committed costs).
  • 8–21 days before start: 50% refund.
  • 7 days or less before start: No refund will normally be provided, as programme costs have already been incurred.
  • Non-attendance (no-show): No refund or transfer.

Transfers: One transfer may be requested at least 7 days before the programme start, subject to availability.

Substitutions: A substitute participant may attend in place of the original booking, subject to prior approval.

2. Corporate / Group Bookings

Corporate bookings require dedicated preparation and resource allocation and are treated as confirmed commitments.

  • More than 45 days before delivery: 75% refund.
  • 21–45 days before delivery: 50% of total fee payable.
  • Less than 21 days before delivery: 100% of total fee payable.

Rescheduling: One reschedule may be requested with at least 21 days’ notice, subject to trainer availability.

3. Online Self-Paced Courses

Consumers have a statutory 14-day cancellation right under UK law. However:

  • By accessing course content immediately after purchase, you expressly agree to begin the service within the 14-day period.
  • You acknowledge that once access begins, your right to cancel may be lost.

Where access has not been used, a refund may be requested within 14 days of purchase.

Access will be revoked upon refund.

4. Cancellation or Changes by LIA

LIA may cancel or reschedule programmes due to circumstances including insufficient enrolment, trainer unavailability, or events beyond reasonable control.

  • A full refund or transfer will be offered.
  • LIA is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or external costs.

5. Transfers

Transfers must be requested in writing before the programme start date and are subject to availability. One transfer per booking is permitted.

6. Exceptional Circumstances

Requests outside these terms (e.g., serious illness or emergencies) may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Supporting evidence may be required.

7. Refund Method

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method. Processing times depend on financial institutions.
