Generational Diversity Training Program

Course Description:

Is it sometimes the case that you and your coworkers are conversing in two different languages? The aim of this course is to identify the advantages and challenges of multigenerational workplaces. Specific change and opportunities will be depicted in relation to the adventures of Kara, a millennials’ tale in which there are different challenges in the work environment. You develop perception regarding the differences in the communication styles, values and work ethics of different generations opposite of yours.

Key Learning Objectives:

⦿ Learn to appreciate the differences among generations in the workplace (e.g., Millennials, Gen X, Baby Boomers)

⦿ Address the generational separation by utilizing appropriate communication methods

⦿ Explore how to respond to offending humour and micro aggressions in the workplace

⦿ Appreciate that through diverse ideas, a team can achieve more than it could with one opinion

⦿ Promote and strengthen an understanding of respect in at the work place

Course Outline:

⦿ The Generational Landscape: This module is focused on the topic of generational diversity and seeks a thorough understanding about the basic characteristics, common values and also communication patterns of prevalent generations in the modern workforce.

⦿ Communication Challenges and Strategies: Challenges related to this communication gap are particularly considered within the context of the research. We will find out the mechanism of adjustment of your communication style depending on the audience and countervailing the trust among the people from various generations.

⦿ Addressing inappropriateness with the use of Jokes and Microaggressions: This course helps you to be equipped to respond to embarrassing jokes, microaggressions, and other forms of unconscious bias in the workplace. You will know how to handle these issues with dignity and respect.

⦿ A Commons’ Bridge: Whenever there are different generations in the workplace, there exists a challenge of using those generational strengths’s towards improvement of the team not through isolation of each generation’s pars. You will recognize how crucial it is to look for and identify the center from which glass walls can be mended and in which respect and appreciation prevail.

⦿ Applying the Knowledge & Skills Gained in the Courses’s Classroom: The last segment of the course provides suggestions and techniques to be used at once to enhance different generations’ interaction and cooperation in your organization.

Course Delivery:

This course will be run based on the learners’ theory as well as the facilitators’ and the learners’ practice. Participants would be able to put what they learn into action in the form of role breaks and practical application sessions.
