Code of Conduct​

At London Intercultural Academy, learning is a shared responsibility. We bring together people from different cultures, sectors, and professional backgrounds. To ensure a productive, respectful, and psychologically safe environment for everyone, all participants, trainers, partners, and visitors are expected to follow this Code of Conduct.

 

Our Commitment

We are committed to a learning space that is:

  • Respectful and inclusive

  • Culturally aware

  • Professionally focused

  • Safe for open dialogue

  • Free from discrimination and harassment

 

What We Expect From Participants

We ask all participants to:

  • Treat others with dignity and respect

  • Listen actively, even when viewpoints differ

  • Engage constructively in discussions and activities

  • Use professional and appropriate language

  • Respect cultural differences and communication styles

  • Follow facilitator guidance during sessions

  • Maintain confidentiality when sensitive experiences are shared

  • Use LIA platforms and resources responsibly

 

Behaviour That Is Not Acceptable

The following conduct is not permitted in any LIA programme, event, or online space:

  • Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or personal attacks

  • Discriminatory or offensive language or behaviour

  • Disruptive actions that interfere with learning

  • Aggressive or hostile communication

  • Unauthorized recording or distribution of sessions or materials

  • Misuse of digital platforms, chat tools, or forums

  • Sharing confidential information without permission

 

Cultural Sensitivity

Our programs often explore complex social, cultural, and workplace issues. Participants are expected to approach discussions with curiosity, humility, and respect.

Disagreement is acceptable. Disrespect is not.

 

Confidentiality

Participants may share real experiences from their workplaces or personal lives. To maintain trust:

  • Do not disclose identifiable information shared by others

  • Respect privacy and boundaries

  • Use insights responsibly outside the learning environment

 

Use of Materials

All LIA content, frameworks, and learning materials are the intellectual property of London Intercultural Academy.

They may be used for personal learning and internal development only. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without written permission is not allowed.

 

If Issues Arise

LIA reserves the right to take appropriate action to protect participants and the integrity of the learning environment. This may include removal from a session or program.

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code, please notify an LIA team member.
