Refund Policy
London Intercultural Academy (LIA)
London Intercultural Academy aims to provide a high-quality learning experience while maintaining fair and transparent policies regarding cancellations and refunds.
1. Individual Bookings (In-person Programs)
Cancellation by Participant
- More than 14 days before program start:
Full refund, minus any non-recoverable transaction fees. - 7–14 days before start:
50% refund or option to transfer to a future program of equal value. - Less than 7 days before start:
No refund. Transfer may be offered at LIA’s discretion. - Non-attendance (no-show):
No refund or transfer.
Participants may nominate a substitute attendee at any time prior to the program start, subject to approval.
2. Corporate / Group Bookings
Corporate engagements involve dedicated preparation and resource allocation.
Cancellation by Client
- More than 30 days before delivery:
Full refund of fees paid. - 14–30 days before delivery:
50% of the total fee payable. - Less than 14 days before delivery:
100% of the agreed fee payable.
Reasonable rescheduling requests may be accommodated subject to trainer availability.
3. Online Self-Paced Courses
- Refund requests must be made within 14 days of purchase, provided that no more than a 50% of the course has been accessed or completed.
- Once substantial content has been accessed, refunds will not be granted.
- Access may be revoked upon refund.
4. Cancellation or Changes by LIA
LIA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule programs due to unforeseen circumstances, including insufficient enrolment, trainer illness, or events beyond reasonable control.
If LIA cancels a programme:
- Participants will be offered a full refund or transfer to an alternative date.
- LIA is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other external costs incurred.
5. Transfers
Where permitted, transfers to another program date or equivalent course must typically be requested in writing before the original start date.
Transfers are subject to availability and may be limited to one per booking.
6. Exceptional Circumstances
Requests outside these terms (e.g., serious illness or emergencies) will be considered on a case-by-case basis at LIA’s discretion. Supporting documentation may be required.
7. Method of Refund
Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method wherever possible. Processing times may vary depending on financial institutions.
